I stumbled on this article and I thought I'd share
Our kidneys are designed such that their filtration capacity naturally declines after the age of 30-40 years. With every decade after your 30s, your kidney function is going to reduce by 10%. But, if you’re going to increase the load on your kidneys right from the beginning, your risk of developing kidney disease later in life will definitely be higher. Here’s why the youth is more affected by kidney diseases.
To be on the safe side, follow these few tips and take good care of your kidneys to prevent the risk of developing kidney problems.

Filtration of blood is a key function that your kidneys perform. When the process of filtration is done, extra amount of wastes and water is stored in the urinary bladder that needs to be excreted. Although your bladder can only hold a lot of urine, the urge to urinate is felt when the bladder is filled with 120-150 ml of urine.
So, if start ignoring the urge to go to the restroom, the urinary bladder stretches more than its capacity. This affects the filtration process of the kidney.
5. Eat right:

Charlie Hebdo suspects and 4 hostages killed in twin hostage standoffs in Paris
Cherif Kouachi (inset top left) and his brother Said (inset bottom left), who attacked and killed 12 people at Charlie Hebdo on Thursday, have been killed by French special forces in a bloody stand-off.
A third guy, Amedy Coulibaly (inset right), who was working with the brothers and gunned down a female police officer, Clarissa Jean-Philippe, was also killed by French police. Amedy is reported to have killed four Jewish hostages at the kosher grocery store (right) where he had been hiding.

Three jihadists were dead tonight after special forces brought an end to more than two days of slaughter which have left at least 17 dead and spread terror across France.French people are reportedly so glad the police have got the suspects.
Said and Cherif Kouachi, the brothers who had assassinated 12 people at satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, died in a blaze of gunfire at a printworks near Paris where they had been holed up with one hostage, who survived.
Moments later, dozens of commandos stormed a Jewish grocery 25 miles away in east Paris where accomplice Amdey Coulibay was threatening to kill a number of people including women and children.
The 32-year-old, responsible for the death of a woman police officer on Thursday, was also ‘neutralised’ in the assault. Tragically, four hostages were also killed while another five were badly wounded.
Police say Coulibaly, 32, was using the hostages as a bargaining chip to try to scupper the police response further north. He is thought to have been working with his 'armed and dangerous' girlfriend Hayat Boumeddiene, 26, whose whereabouts is unknown.
The siege reached a bloody climax when the brothers reportedly 'came out firing' after a nine-hour stand-off.
They had earlier told police negotiators: 'We are ready to die as martyrs'.
Local media reports that the brothers met Coulibaly while in prison. He is believed to be a fellow member of the Buttes Chaumont – a gang from the 19th arrondissement of Paris that sent jihadists to fight in Iraq.
The Kouachis were cornered in Dammartin-en-Goele, around 25 miles from the capital, this morning after leading police on a dramatic car chase.
