Ronaldo is UNLUCKY to be born in the same era with Messi''-Wenger
When asked whether Messi would have got his vote in the FIFA poll, Wenger was unequivocal in his answer. “No, not this year,” the Frenchman told the Arsenal website.
“Messi is from a different planet. He’s certainly the best player in the world, the best I’ve ever seen, but I believe that this year he has really been rewarded for what he did individually, rather than what he won for his team.
“For once he has not been in a team that won absolutely everything. He did not win the Champions League, he did not win the Spanish league and he didn’t win anything with his country, but individually it’s true he had an exceptional year, scoring 91 goals.
“I believe he has been rewarded for that, but for me I’m more a fan of collective sport, so I feel people like Iker Casillas, Cristiano Ronaldo – who won the Spanish championship – and especially Andres Iniesta deserved it more. Iniesta is always number two or three, but he won the European Championship with Spain last year and he could have deserved it this year.
“I am not a big fan of individual awards in football to start with, but when it happens I think it should be the consequence of a special team achievement as well. If you have been the best player in a team that did something special, then yes, you should win it. That’s why my vote would have been for Iniesta.”Wenger went on to admit he has sympathy with Real Madrid striker Ronaldo, who seems destined to remain in Messi’s imposing shadow despite his own glorious achievements in what has been a glittering career.

With no more goals scored after 30 minutes of additional time, Burkina Faso secured a 3-2 victory in the spot-kick decider.
Well, after that refereeing shocker it is probably justice that Burkina Faso are in the final. But poor Pitroipa will miss the final, as I don't think they can overturn that decision.
BFA will face Nigeria, who thumped Mali 4-1 in the earlier semifinal, in Sunday's tournament finale Oct 10th 2013 and Ghana will play Mali in the third-place playoff on the very same day ......Stay tuned!

Air hostess sacked Air hostess sacked for 'giving passengers the finger' in Twitter pic
Flight attendant Tatiana Kozlenko put the snap up on her personal page on Vkontakte, one of Russia’s most popular Facebook-style social networks.
Within hours the snap – which appears to show the arm of an air hostess giving the finger to an airplane cabin full of passengers – had clocked up dozens of ‘likes’.
But the image then went viral after it was posted on Twitter and re-tweeted by hundreds of users.
Aeroflot airline bosses soon found out about the photo and fired Ms Kozlenko.
Aeroflot – who announced the sacking on their Twitter account – said:
“Posting this photo shows Tatiana’s attitude towards passengers and her duties. She acknowledged her fault when she spoke to her managers.”But Ms Kozlenko claims it isn’t her arm in the snap – or even one of her her airline’s planes.
She admitted that she tagged herself in the photo, which doesn’t show anyone’s face – but claims it isn’t her.
‘I don’t consider myself guilty! The photo was added to my page, I only tagged myself on it!!! The hand isn’t mine, the plane is not my company’s!!! I don’t understand what they spoil my life for!!! I’m asking you for help and support!!’ she said on her Vkontakte page.

Celebrity site, MediaTakeOut.com was reported to have received a BLOCKBUSTER report from a person with CLOSE TIES to rapper Kanye West. Apparently 'Yeezy is trying to DISTANCE HIMSELF from his newly pregnant baby's mom Kim Kardashian.
The insider who asked for anonymity tells us that Kanye has been AVOIDING his baby's mom – and doing his best NOT to spend time with her. The insider explained, "Kanye was coming to Abu Dhabi for a concert and Kim wanted to come with him cause she loves that place. A south African man has become the first person in the world to be convicted of killing a great white shark after he hooked one while fishing from the shore.
Leon Bekker, of George, Western Cape, pleaded guilty to contravention of the Marine Living Resources Act which includes attempting to kill, disturb or be in possession of a white shark without a permit.
Bekker pointed out that he had no idea at first that he’d hooked a great white shark but he pleaded guilty so as not to waste the court’s time.
But in a landmark decision Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court handed him a fine of R120,000 (£8,550) or a 12-month prison sentence, suspended for five years.
The unprecedented case is the only great white shark conviction in a South African court to date – the first country to impose legislation in protecting great white sharks.
Bekker sparked an outrage after the picture he posted on the web of his big catch went viral.
Great white sharks have been protected in South African waters since 1991 and no person is permitted to catch them, or even to attempt to catch them.

I'm engaged but not wearing a ring. My boyfriend proposed to me during the Christmas holidays but didn't give me a ring because he couldn't afford to buy me one he knows I will appreciate. He told me he will get me the ring before our wedding in August but it's becoming embarrassing because whenever I tell people I'm engaged they look at my fingers to see the ring and there's nothing there.I make far more money than my fiance and can afford to buy the ring of my dreams. Back in November, Tamera gave birth to her first born son, Aden, and she’s been gushing about the joys of motherhood on her online blog. While most fans have been supportive, some people have turned their internet thugging all the way up, trash-talking Aden because of his skin color, or bashing Tamera for marrying a white man. In an open letter posted on TiaAndTameraOfficial.com, Tamera addresses the ignorance, saying that yes, even as a celebrity, the negativity does hurt and “skin color has nothing to do with love.”
