Mom arrested for hiring strippers for 16yr old son's birthday party
33 year old Judy Viger hired two strippers (seen above with her son) to perform at her son's birthday, where there were plenty under age children.
The mother of one of the party goers who found it inappropriate reported Judy to the police who arrested and charged her with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. They said she endangered not only the welfare of her own child, but the welfare of the 14-15 year old children and some were as young as 13 that were at the party.She faces up to one year in prison if convicted.

UK-Based Indian student dies after taking fat-burning pills he boasted about on Facebook
Sarmad Alladin, an 18 year old student living in the UK died yesterday after taking Fat-Burning pills known as DNP. This pill is sold mostly over the Internet under a number of different names but contains 2, 4-Dinitrophenol.
Sarmad had recently posted photos of his new muscles on his Facebook wall, boasting about DNP and it’s effectiveness. Some hours later he suddenly collapsed but managed to call an ambulance. He was taken to hospital and died there. Click below to read more…
Sarmad, an Indian international student was popularly known as ’Mr Muscles.’ He was a fitness fanatic who was living in university accommodation in Epsom, Surrey, while attending the specialist art and design university in nearby Farnham, UK.

‘As a university we are devastated by the untimely and tragic passing of one of our students, . One-year-old baby bites SNAKE to DEATH
The infant, Imad Gadir, whose family resides in Shfaram, was not hurt when he bit the unlucky coin snake, but was taken to Haifa's Ramabam Medical Center, just in case.
According to Imad's grandfather, Shaheen Shaheen, who recalled the family's tumultuous morning, the boy woke up when his father left for work at 6:30 am. The 1-year-old left his parents' bed and headed to his room, where he found the 35-centimeter (13-inch) snake. He then grabbed it and bit its head off.
"It wasn't a pretty sight," Shaheen said. "He's a baby, he didn't know what he was doing. He thought it was a game. I don't wish this kind of thing on anyone."When Imad's mother realized what had happened she began screaming, until a neighbor jumped the house's fence, entered the room and snatched the snake out of the boy's hand.
"I went to the kitchen to get him some milk, and when I came back I saw he was already eating," the mother, Alain, said. "I screamed until the neighbors came. I still can't believe what I saw."Veteran snake-catcher Eli Cohen said he has never come across a case of this kind.
"I guess the kid acted out of a childish instinct when he put the snake in his mouth," he said. "Luckily for him, the coin snake isn't poisonous, otherwise it could have ended in a tragedy."Eli Cohen, the owner of a pest control company, estimated that the snake was three years old, and said that his bite often hurts but is not dangerous to anyone who isn't allergic to it. He said that this type of reptile chokes his prey.

Bishop accuses Z’bar govt of failing to protect clerics
Father Evarist Mushi was blocked by two young men at the entrance of the church, one of the attackers shot him in the head.
The Roman Catholic Diocese in Zanzibar on Monday blamed the Zanzibar government for what he termed as inability to protect Christian religious leaders.
The Zanzibar Bishop Augustine Shao told a news conference in Zanzibar that the Church has been reporting evidence on threats issued to the Christian leaders but “all these have fallen on deaf ears”. Bishop Shao said some people had been sending threats and hatred text messages and leaflets but nobody had been arrested in in connection to that.
It's high time the government ensures that constitutional rights are protected especially the right to life.

Murder suspect, Oscar Pistorius, granted bail
The blade runner was granted bail by a South African court this afternoon after a judge ruled he was not a flight risk. He will be free to go home until the start of his trial for shooting dead girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Thursday February 14th.

The Imam of Mwakaje mosque,Sheikh Ali Khamis Ali (65) has died after being attacked and beaten to death on Friday afternoon.
According to the North Unguja Regional Police Commander (RPC), Ahmada Khamis, the deceased was found dead in his coconut farm in Kidoti village. “Preliminary investigations revealed that the killers were thieves who entered Ali Khamis’s farm with intention to steal coconut and the confrontation resulted into his death.
No arrests have been made in connection with the murder. A Pathologist at Mnazi Mmoja Hospital, Dr Msafiri Majirani, said that a postmortem outcome indicated that a knife was used against the deceased who died on the way as he was being rushed to hospital for treatment.

Oscar Pistorius' older brother also allegedly accused of killing a woman
His lawyer Kenny Oldwage, who also represents Oscar Pistorius, confirmed the charges.Carl Pistorius appeared in court just two days before his brother's bail hearing last week, according to the Daily Mail.
According to the BBC, police conducted tests on Carl Pistorius' blood at the time of the accident, and he was found not to have been drinking alcohol.
Carl was initially accused of reckless or negligent driving, but the matter was later provisionally withdrawn. However, the charges were reinstated after the victim's family said they believed it was more than an accident. Carl Pistorius' trial is set to begin at the end of March.
Meanwhile the police have told Reeva Steenkamp's family that Oscar crushed her skull with a cricket bat before shooting her dead. Grieving relatives who saw her body before Tuesday’s cremation in Port Elizabeth described horrific injuries from the cricket bat, and entry wounds from 9mm bullets fired by Pistorius.

Fast food has the impact on the liver as hepatitis
A new study shows that regularly eating fast food isn't just bad for your waistline, it can also damage your liver in ways that are surprisingly similar to hepatitis.
The results were revealed on the television program, 'The Doctors,' where it was found that even just a month of eating fast food can cause significant changes to your liver.
We know that they are adding salt, and cooking it in fat, but they're also putting sugar on them too. Why sugar? Because it helps get them golden crispy,' said Dr. Drew Ordon, who appears on the show and is the author of the book 'Better in 7.'
Foods like fried chicken and onion rings were especially bad for the liver
'The amount of fat and saturated fats creates a condition called fatty liver,' Ordon said.
He said the changes in liver enzymes are in line with the effects of hepatitis. That disease can ultimately cause liver failure.
'We're all guilty, and every now and then you have to splurge, but the problem is that so many people are getting into eating fast food, especially kids, as their staple, and I think that's the point,' Ordon said.
'Some places actually put propylene glycol on the salads, which is anti-freeze, the reason behind that is that it prevents wilting,' said Ordon. 'And although they say a little anti-freeze isn't going to hurt you, obviously given a choice you don't want to be eating anti-freeze.
