African bros shine:Chiwetel Ejiofor and Idris Elba nominated for Golden Globes Awards
Idris Elba received a Golden Globe Best Actor nomination for his roles as Mandela in the movie; Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom', while Chiwetel Ejiofor got his Best Actor nomination for his role as Solomon Northup in the "12 Years A Slave"— Historical drama starred by Kenya's Lupita Nyong'o . Chiwetel also got a SAG Awards nomination.
"12 Years a Slave" won most nominations for the Golden Globes with seven nods on Thursday, as Hollywood's awards season heats up.

Seattle are fans mad at the Beats by Dre commercial
Dr. Dre apparently didn't remember that people in Seattle buy headphones, too.
The "Beats by Dre" line of headphones added 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick as an endorser.
Kaepernick's ad shows him on the team bus headed to a stadium, obviously supposed to be in Seattle. The ad shows the Seattle skyline and the fans are wearing Seahawks colors.And the fans scream at him, throw things at the bus, and seem to be ready to assault him when he walks off.Kaepernick puts on his headphones and totally drowns out the unruly mob.
The commercial is obviously way over the top, but you can see why Seattle fans would be mad at Dr. Dre, who was once one of the top names in hip hop before becoming a headphones mogul.

Instagram adds private image & message sharing to take on rivals.
CEO of Instagram Kevin Systrom introduced Instagram Direct, a feature in the Instagram app that allows you to share your photos with smaller groups of people or with just a single friend.
"Instagram Direct is a simple way to send photos and videos to your friends," Systrom said at an event in New York City. "We wanted to make this about moments you share with your friends."

Twelve dead, thirty badly injured in bus crash near Handeni
A bus carrying more than 45 people crashed around 1:30 a.m. EAT.
He also added that 30 people were seriously injured and that others with minor injuries had received medical treatment at Magunga hospital,Korogwe.
The driver of Burudani bus,Luta Lover (35) believed to be among the twelve people killed.
Traffic police are currently attempting to establish the cause of the accident.

Finally! Khloe Kardashian files for divorce
After months of 'will she?''won't she?', Khloe Kardashian has finally filed for divorce from husband of four years, Lamar Odom. She also filed court documents to restore her name, TMZ reports.
In the legal docs, filed by disso-queen Laura Wasser, Khloe cites "irreconcilable differences.And Khloe is asking the judge to take Odom out of her name, so she is once again simply Khloe Kardashian ... eliminating Odom from her life in every way.And, Khloe is not asking for spousal support and wants the judge to reject any bid by Lamar for the same, TMZ reports.

North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, executes his own uncle
Months after executing his ex-girlfriend, North Korean 30 year old leader Kim Jong-un, has once again killed someone close to him, his own uncle.
According to Korean Central News Agency, Kim Jong-un executed, Jang Song Thaek, (pictured above being led away yesterday) for allegedly 'trying to overthrow the government'."

Jang was also accused of hindering North Korea's state-run production of iron, fertilisers and vinalon - a homemade synthetic fibre - by selling off resources at cheap prices and "throwing the state financial management system into confusion".
Jang Song Thaek had been the leader's adviser and had until recently been regarded as North Korea's second most powerful person after Kim Jong-un.
The 'traitor' was found guilty of treason by a military tribunal and was sentenced to death. He was executed immediately after the hearing.
Jang was removed from his government position at a Ruling Workers' Party politburo meeting on Sunday, he was arrested shortly after that.

Wale threatens Complex staff after exlcusion from '50 Best Albums of 2013' list
Like Kanye, Wale does not take rejection lightly. He went ballistic on a Complexmagazine staff after his recent album, The Gifted, was excluded from the magazine's list of the 50 Best Albums of 2013.
After the list was released, a very upset Wale called a staff of the magazine to complain. During the 3-minutes phone which took place on Wednesday Dec 11, which Complex magazine has since posted online, Wale said Complex had a personal bias against him, then started shouting and making threats.

According to local reports, it happened over night and unexpectedly on Wednesday Dec. 11th. An official of Egypt's Meteorological centre said it was first time in decades since the last snowfalls and it took residents of Cairo suburbs by surprise. But most are delighted because they have never seen snow before.They took to Twitter to post their amazement in words and shared pictures
