A 22 year old man killed his mother with a knife and yanked her intestines out because according to him she 'ruined his life'

The man accused of killing his mother in Deep River, Conn., on Thurs., disemboweled her, according to a police report. Troopers responded to a home at 131 Rattling Valley Road around 1 p.m. Thursday after receiving a 911 call from the victim's ex-husband.

Robert Owen Rankin, the victim's 22-year-old son, was arrested and charged with murder. Rankin and his father were outside the house when police arrived.

On Friday, state police identified the victim as 45-year-old Margaret Rohner. According to court documents, Rankin admitted the crime to his father and then to the first state police trooper who arrived on the scene.

 Rankin told the trooper:

I used the knife to kill my mother.I killed my mother because she is pretty much responsible for everything that has gone wrong in my life.

Rankin continued to tell the trooper in detail what he had allegedly done to his mother.He said he woke up in the morning with a plan to snap his mother's neck to kill her, but when that didn't work, he stabbed her in the neck with a fire poker, according to the police report.

When Rankin saw she was still alive, he told police he took his clothes off to "gain additional strength," in his words.

He then used a buck knife to stab his mother in the belly button, the court documents show. Rankin said he was looking for a baby but couldn't find one in her stomach, he allegedly told police.

He told investigators he cleaned up, took a shower and decided to take his dog for a walk. It was then that he saw his father and allegedly admitted to the crime.

I just want you to know that she put up a damn good fight. She is a strong woman. I give her credit for that," he told his father, according to court documents.

Police who went inside the home found Rohner's body with several wounds to the abdomen. 

Rankin appeared in Middletown Superior court on Friday morning. His attorney, Dennis McMahon, said Rankin appears to have a long history of severe psychiatric issues,He was held on $1 million bond and put on a suicide watch.

Zimbabwe will from New Year’s Day ban foreigners from owning a majority stake in a host of businesses from bakeries to beauty salons, a cabinet minister said Tuesday.

Foreigners will only be allowed to own minority stakes in the affected businesses if they have local partners, and will be given between four and five years to comply with the new law.

From January 1, 2014, Zim will not be issuing foreigners licences in areas reserved for locals. And for foreigners who are already operating in those areas reserved for locals should seek indigenous partners to buy shares.

Meanwhile, locals are free to seek foreign partners as long as the local retains their majority shareholding.

The ban will also include estate agencies, grain mills, retail outlets, milk processing plants, transport andvalet services.

According to Zim, it’s all about creating employment and empowering indigenous Zimbabweans.

The mother of Dwyane Wade's love child has been revealed. Her name is Aja Metoyer, (pictured above) a popular Miami groupie who has two other children with her high school sweetheart, Damon Wayans Jr. And according to new reports, Dwayne and Gabrielle Union were not on break when the baby was conceived like Dwyane Wade claims...

Exactly 9 months before Dwyane Wade's son was born, Wade and Gabrielle Union were still acting like they were very much a couple ... and TMZ has the proof.

Wade's baby mama Aja Metoyer gave birth to Dwyane's son Xavier on Nov. 10. Wade claims the two were on a "break" at the time.

But on February 5th (9 months before the birth), Gabrielle was Instagramming about Wade ... posting a photo of the NBA star cuddled up with her dog Sasha along with caption, "Sasha don't play when it comes to her man... 'Down to ride 'til the very end, it's me and my boyfriend.

A couple of days before that (on Feb. 1), Gabrielle posted a romantic photo of the couple together from a photo shoot for a "Flashback Friday." Doesn't seem like a couple on a break ... Continue...

There's more ... on February 19th, Gabby posted another pic of Dwyane holding one of her scripts ... with the caption, "It takes a village to help an actress learn her lines... @dwyanewade takin a break from his Gatorade commercial to give me a line reading. Thanks coach :)

The patter continues until April ... when Gabby stopped posting pics of Dwyane and started posting a bunch of sad cryptic quotes. One reads, "We cannot start over, but we can begin now, and make a new ending."

Another says, Sometimes you have to get knocked down lower than you have ever been, to stand up taller than you ever were.

But on May 16, Wade returns to the picture ... with Union posting a photo of the couple, along with the caption, "I like this dude."

One would assume it was right around this time that Union decided to take him back.

More than 73,000 people were killed in Syria in 2013, the bloodiest year yet in the brutal civil war that began in March 2011, an NGO said on Wednesday.

The Britain-based group said it had documented the deaths of 73,455 people between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013, including 22,436 civilians.

On Tuesday, the Observatory released an updated toll for the entire war, saying more than 130,000 people had been killed since it began, the majority of them fighters from both sides.

The loss of life continued on Wednesday, with the Observatory reporting an ongoing regime campaign of aerial bombardment in northern Aleppo province.

It said five people were killed in air strikes on the Sukkari neighbourhood of Aleppo city, adding that raids also targeted nearby districts.

The group also raised to 17 the toll in an incident in the Tarik al-Bab neighbourhood of the city on Tuesday, in which a regime tank shell hit a bus.

Please I need your opinion on something that is keeping me up at night. I met my boyfriend in November 2010 and after only four months of dating he proposed to me on Valentine's Day in 2011. I was really excited and believed he didn't want to waste time and was eager to marry me. But it's going to three years now since we got engaged and he hasn't said anything about a wedding. Every time I mention it he tells me I'm acting desperate that I should calm down that if he didn't want to marry me he would not have given me a ring. We are both over 30 so I don't understand the delay. What bothers me most is that he's not even talking about it. I suggested we get married the last week of December 2013 so we can begin a new life in 2014 but he said he will let me know when he's ready. Should I give him an ultimatum or just be patient?

James Avery, the actor who played Uncle Phil in popular 90s sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," died on Tuesday from complications of open heart surgery. Avery is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara, his stepson, Kevin Waters, and his mother, Florence.

What is wrong with these men, cant they be faithful to their partners?. Apparently, Dwayne Wade is not the only male celeb to father a child while in a longtime relationship, rapper Ludacris also did.

Ludacris, who is engaged to longtime girlfriend Eudoxie (pictured with him above), just welcomed a daughter with an Atlanta groupie named Tamika Fuller.

According to TMZ, Ludacris just filed court docs to legally establish paternity for Cai Bella Bridges, born Dec. 9th, and to set a limit on the amount of child support that can be awarded to his baby mama

Ludacris is claiming he earns only $25,842.41 a month which would limit child support to $1,754.66 a month under Georgia law. C'mon Luda, you have to deal with the consequences of cheating bro.

A young Kenyan lady has been killed by her husband in Northolt, West London. The lady, identified as Shamim Gabriel was stabbed to death by the husband, Richard Otunga in front of their six-year old daughter.

It was the traumatized and crying daughter who called the police for help through the 999 emergency number while the killer dad was still on phone bragging to his father-in-law of how he had killed the woman after a domestic quarrel.

Police arrived at the scene within minutes but the woman was already dead. The man was arrested and has been detained at a local police station for interrogation.

Forensic experts continue to look for clues.

According to a new report by National Enquirer, jailed former football legend O.J. Simpson is receiving tests for brain cancer and is begging President Obama for a pardon so he can die in peace at home.

The newspaper claims that Simpson, 66, who is serving a 33 year sentence in a Nevada prison for kidnapping, assault and robbery, is undergoing secret medical exams for a cancerous tumor in his brain and is convinced he won't live long.

O.J. says his memory is slipping and he gets painful headaches and other symptoms. He put off the doctors for weeks after he first started experiencing the symptoms because he was afraid of what they would find. 

Now the prison docs are telling him they believe he has a brain tumor. They plan to run a series of tests on him, MRIs and CT scans

Simpson still has four years left to serve in order to be eligible for parole.

Tyrese has just rang in his 35th birthday this past week, with none other than his Hollywood family Will Smith, Jada and singer Maxwell.

The past few weeks, the ‘Fast & Furious‘ actor has been creating a buzz via twitter by announcing his plans to celebrate his birthday and New Years in FIVE countries.

Pre-gaming with a small house party in his backyard , he kicked off the festivities with Polynesian fire dancers and heated sushi.

With America and Dubai already down, he has 3 more to go with Maldives already in mind as the next stop.
