The 2014 Grammy Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday January 25 in Beverly Hills, California. It was a fantastic night of amazing music and plenty of awards to go around.

Jay Z led the pack of nominees this year with nine nods and following behind with seven each were Justin Timberlake, Macklemore& Ryan Lewis, Pharrell Williams, and Kendrick Lamar.

A loving wife who saved her husband's life by giving him one of her kidneys now wants it back after he dumped her.

Andy Lamb was suffering from renal failure and was only being kept alive by dialysis sessions, until his wife Samantha persuaded him to take one of her kidneys. 

The 41-year-old mother-of-one,lost more than 3st in weight to make sure that she would be healthy enough for the transplant operation in October 2009.

At the time of the operation Andy said:

Sam's doing all this for me and I'll never get over that. She is just amazing and fantastic.I could never put into words how I feel about this. If this happens she will have given me the gift of life.

Just a few years after the life-saving procedure, their marriage was over when Mr Lamb walked out on his wife in August 2012.

He needed a new kidney or he would die.He was on dialysis three times a week.

I would definitely go through the operation again but I wouldn’t give the kidney to him.

I hate him. If I could, then I would take it back and give it to someone else.

Samantha believes he was having an affair with her friend Clare whom she confronted.

Andy still denies having an affair with Samantha's friend but admits walking out on her.

The couple met when they were both drivers for a private ambulance firm and started dating in 2004, and got married in 2007.

Kanye West has reportedly paid $250,000 to a man who accused him of beating him up in Beverly Hills earlier this month.

The 36-year-old rapper became the focus of a battery investigation after he reportedly chased the 18-year-old into a chiropractor's office and punched him after the teen apparently hurled racial slurs at Kim Kardashian.

However, TMZ reports the duo have now come to an agreement and Kanye has paid $250k.

The young man who allegedly hurled racial epithets at Kim earlier this month has agreed to the civil settlement and now feels satisfied enough that he does not want to go forward with a criminal prosecution. Law enforcement sources tell us ... the D.A. has not decided whether to charge Kanye with battery. The reality is ... there's almost no chance of that happening. First, the D.A. now has an uncooperative victim. Second, the victim's alleged racial epithets will not sit well with the jury. And there are probably lots of Kanye fans in the jury pool. We're told during the settlement negotiations the victim's demand soared to the upper 6 figures, so $250K is just a fraction. We called Kanye's civil lawyer, Shawn Holley for comment ... but we got nothin'.Nevertheless ... we're calling it case closed.

Prolific US singer/songwriter, Prince has reportedly instituted a lawsuit against 22 Facebook fans for posting links of his live concerts on their Facebook page and blogs without express authorization from him or his label. If found guilty in court, the fans would face a damage claim of $22million. He filed the law suit at the Northern District of Carolina, USA. 

Although the actual names of most of the defendants in the lawsuit haven’t been revealed and the websites named in the suit can no longer be accessed, the usernames identified in the lawsuit (like “PurpleKissTwo”) indicate that at least some of the targets are Prince die hard fans.

In the lawsuit, Prince listed his performances from 2011 in North Carolina, 2002 in Oakland and 1983 in Chicago as his private materials that have been copyrighted by the accused or defendants. Continue reading......

The suit went further to state that the circulation of a 31-year-old live set damages Prince’s earning capability, with the singer leveling charges of direct copyright infringement, ‘unauthorized fixation and trafficking in sound recordings’, contributory copyright infringement and bootlegging.

Prince has suffered and is continuing to suffer damages in an amount according to proof, but no less than $1 million per defendant―the lawsuit reads.

Prince has a history of suing anyone who uses his material without permission, but most times doesn’t follow through on his threats. A 2007 effort to sue The Pirate Bay went nowhere. This new lawsuit is likely to go much further.

According to new reports, the Queen of England is down to her last $1.6m in reserves after royal overspending. She was once the richest woman in the world (in the 80s) and in 2010 Forbes mag estimated her net worth at around $450 million and now she's broke.

Perhaps Queen Elizabeth II could learn something from her thrifty granddaughter-in-law Kate Middleton. The 87-year-old monarch has been overspending the royal family's famous fortune, according to a report published by the Commons Public Accounts Committee on Monday, Jan. 27.

Following her courtiers' advice, Her Majesty the Queen's reserve fund has fallen from £35 million ($58 million) in 2001 to just £1 million ($1.6 million) in 2014. The report states the royal family is "spending above their means and dipping into the reserves...the balance now stands at an all-time low.

The report also reveals that a number of palaces are in "dangerous or deteriorating" conditions. Forty percent of them, in fact, are "below acceptable standards." It's not exactly new information, as Queen Elizabeth II knows that there's an $82 million backlog in repairs due to tightened government funding.

Taxpayers fund the royal palaces in Britain, comprised of more than 300 buildings. In 2013, the public spent about £31 million ($51 million) renovating and operating the facilities. The report urged the treasury to "get a grip" and help the royal family to prevent "further damage and deterioration."

According to the report, royal staff members have been forced to catch rain in buckets to protect art and antiquities in some locations. Queen Elizabeth II's "antiquated" boilers are more than 60 years old.

The Queen has not been served well by the Household and by the Treasury― said Margaret Hodge, the labor chairman of the Public Accounts Committee. "We got the impression that they just haven't tried to make greater savings. Here we are, we're all in it together, but they are failing to eek better value for the Queen. They are dipping into their reserves in a way that just isn't sensible."

If you look at the Tower of London and its visitor numbers it makes you think that there's potential there. Have they done their darndest to maximize value for money? Hodge wondered.

The royal household has pledged to introduce a 10-year maintenance plan to resolve the backlog. It has also pledged to increase the size of its reserve fund. Married to Prince Philip since 1947, Queen Elizabeth II has four children and eight grandchildren—including Prince William & Prince Harry.

India Arie has lashed out against the award show saying that the best black artistes are not being recognized for their talent.

In a lengthy letter posted on her Tumblr page, the songwriter said the Grammys and other award shows have become more concerned with popularity and sales, with the musical quality only coming as an afterthought.

Her rant came after upcoming rapper Kendrick Lamar left the award show empty handed despite being hailed a favorite across the board.

@Kendricklamar WAS robbed, BUT he was not the only one who was robbed. Personally, I was pleased he was able to perform and they KILLED! IT! One of the FEW moving moments of the night for ME.

Though it’s called “Music industries biggest night” the #Grammys are NOT about the music, it’s a popularity contest. The voting process allows people, to vote on name recognition alone - the music industry politics is a whole NUTHER conversation. Too much to go into here.

The American Music Awards is a show that awards sales and popularity - the #Grammys are SAID to be about the music.

If the hip hop community voted on hip hop - r&b COMMUNITY the same - same for each category - we’d see winners that reflect the MUSIC ITSELF. We all know that’s just not the way it goes.

NOW the BIGGER losers, are ALL of black music. Where was the black music community represented in last nights #Grammy show? Performers and Winners (or not) … Where were the black artists?

And this isn’t the first time the #Grammy’s has had a show all but excluding young black America and black artists in general, although we set the worlds musical trends. Why NOT televise the lifetime achievement awards of the Isley Brothers? SURELY they deserved to be on televised stage LAST NIGHT! While other artists were on stage TWICE?

The truth is in a perfect world diversity would matter, and respect would be rampant, but the TRUTH is, The #Grammys is a television show, and in THAT world ratings reign supreme. So, in general, bigger names take the stage, and sadly the biggest names often times ARE BIGGER drawn along racial lines from the release of an album. i.e. marketing dollars, and just general support. It’s unfortunate.

I don’t even get surprised any more, but, it still hits my sense of fairness, because I KNOW many of the artists who are overlooked. I LIVE in that world. We keep showing up and subjecting ourselves to the game, hoping MAYBE we’ll win. I was so HAPPY to see @Kendricklamar take that stage - because it is a FORM of winning, at LEAST, he was SEEN.

This South Korean woman has been accused of 'ruining her face after 'before' and 'after' shots of her plastic surgery procedure has gone viral.

The unnamed lady who is allegedly a reporter on a South Korean TV channel, has undergone jaw surgery in order to achieve the dainty heart-shaped face♥, which desired by many east Asian women.

The result of the procedure is an unusually pointed chin.

South Korea is the world's largest market for plastic surgery, with one in five Seoul women having gone under the knife.

Recent figures show that South Koreans have more plastic surgery than in any other country, with the craze particularly popular among 19 to 49-year-olds.

In my opinion, she hasn't done only jaw surgery...looks like nose and eyes too.

Last year, Jay Z took official Grammy photos pouring his cognac, DUSSE in his Grammy Award. This year Jay won the best Rap/Sung collabo with Justin Timberlake for Holy Grail!.

Last week, Hong Kong billionaire, Cecil Chao, 77, was in the news after he reportedly doubled his reward (£80 million) for any man who would turn his lesbian daughter (pictured left) straight. Incase you missed the story, read it here) 

The daughter, Gigi Chao, 34, who is already married to her partner Sean Eav& resides in France has written a lengthy open letter to her father asking for him to come to terms with the fact that she is a lesbian and shes happy.

Dear Daddy, 

I thought the timing was right for us to have a candid conversation.

You are one of the most mentally astute, energetic yet well mannered and hard-working people this humble earth has ever known. 

Your confidence, quick wit, and charisma brightens any room you enter.

I love you very much, and I think I can speak for my brothers also, that we have the utmost respect for you as a father and role model in business.

I am sorry that people have been saying insensitive things about you lately. The truth is, they don’t understand that I will always forgive you for thinking the way you do, because I know you think you are acting in my best interests. And we both don’t care if anybody else understands.

As your daughter, I would want nothing more than to make you happy. But in terms of relationships, your expectations of me and the reality of who I am, are not coherent.

I am responsible for some of this misplaced expectation, because I must have misled you to hope there were other options for me. You know I’ve had male lovers in the past, and I’ve had happy, albeit short-lived, relationships. I found myself temporarily happy, buoyed by the freshness, the attention, the interest, of someone physically stronger than myself.

But it was always short-lived, as I quickly lost patience, and felt an indescribable discomfort in their presence. It usually made me frustrated, and I would yearn for my freedom again. I’ve broken a few hearts, hearts of good, honest and loving men, and I’m sorry that it had to be so.

But with Sean, a woman, somehow it was different. I am comfortable and satisfied with my life and completely at ease with her. I know it’s difficult for you to understand how I could feel romantically attracted to a woman; I suppose I can’t really explain it either. It just happens, peacefully and gently, and after so many years, we still love each other very much.

My regret is that you have no idea how happy I am with my life, and there are aspects of my life that you don’t share. I suppose we don’t need each other’s approval for our romantic relationships, and I am sure your relationships are really fantastic too.

However, I do love my partner Sean, who does a good job of looking after me, ensuring I am fed, bathed and warm enough every day, and generally cheering me up to be a happy, jolly girl. She is a large part of my life, and I am a better person because of her.

Now, I’m not asking you to be best of friends; however, it would mean the world to me if you could just not be so terrified of her, and treat her like a normal, dignified human being.

I understand it is difficult for you to understand, let alone accept this truth.

I’ve spent a lot of time figuring out who I am, what is important in my life, who I love and how best to live life, as an expression of all these questions. I am proud of my life, and I would not choose to live it any other way (except also figuring out how to be gentler on the planet). 

I’m sorry to mislead you to think I was only in a lesbian relationship because there was a shortage of good, suitable men in Hong Kong. 

There are plenty of good men, they are just not for me.

The Carters caused uproar with their raunchy performance on Sunday at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.

Beyoncé wore a revealing black thong bodysuit over fishnet tights to perform a rendition of her hit Drunk In Love alongside husband Jay Z who couldn't help but get touchy feely with his wife, clasping his hands on her famous derriere and giving her a sultry kiss mid-song.

The 32-year-old singer opened the show straddling a chair then proceeded to writhe around on it before twerking her way up to a standing position.

From start to end, the mother-of-one's routine could only be described as both seductive and risqué.

However the countless viewers appeared to be less impressed ― claimed the performance was 'disrespectful', had 'no class' and was entirelyinappropriate for young children.

What do you call a man who stands there smiling and singing as his scantily clad wife straddles a chair and shakes her rear end for other men’s titillation?

I’m certain if I look through enough Jay Z song titles, I’ll come up with the right name for his role in Beyoncé’s performance at the Grammy Awards Sunday night. Rhymes with Goodyear? Well, how about I just call him a poor excuse for a husband.

For years, these award ceremonies have pushed the envelope; Beyoncé’s booty-shaking was certainly no worse than Miley Cyrus’s twerking or any number of other performances by Madonna, for instance. But there’s something particularly icky about doing it while your husband looks on approvingly.

Honestly, I didn't want to watch Jay Z and Beyoncé’s foreplay, Indeed, the happy couple seems to have completely blurred the line between what goes on in their bedroom and what happens on national TV. So much for the woman that Michelle Obama has called “a role model who kids everywhere can look up to....Said Charlotte Hays, author of “When Did White Trash Become the New Normal?”

It wasn't surprising to see Jay Z, looking pleased at his wife’s hyper-sexualized exhibition on stage.” After all, he’s made a living singing lyrics that call women ‘b*tches’ and ‘h*s,’ so we shouldn't be surprised that he objectified his own wife on stage...she added!.

The sophisticates will say that what we saw Sunday were just the long-established stage personas of Beyoncé and Jay Z; why should their marriage change that?

Rihanna & Karrueche are sworn enemies over their love for Chris Brown and it has been reported that When Rihanna had her tattoo drawn late last year many didn't know Karrueche had a massive hand tattoo back in 2012. Though hers was a dragon, people still feel she is doing everything to look like Karrauche.

She lost weight to become so slim, wore her hair longer, got the similar tattoo and even dressed like her for the Halloween.

They say the reason is Rihanna can't understand why Chris would choose Tran over her and feels it has to do with the physical appearance of Karrueche..

Direction:
- Cleanse your face with your usual cleanser, then mix the whites of two eggs with the juice of one lemon.

- Whisk them together for around three minutes until completely blended.

News has surfaced that Justin Bieber has been charged with assaulting a limo driver.

The pop star was charged with assault for allegedly hitting a Toronto limousine driver several times in the back of the head last month, just hours after his attorney entered a separate not guilty plea in Florida to drunken-driving and other charges.

The 19-year-old teen icon turned himself in to a Toronto police station Wednesday evening. He was charged with one count of assault and is due to appear in court on March 10.

Earlier on Wednesday, a petition requesting Mr Bieber's expulsion from the US attained 100,000 signatures.

The petition was filed on a White House website by a member of the public.
