Kelly Rowland confirms to be engaged to Tim Witherspoon

A few weeks ago, Kelly Rowland was spotted wearing a huge diamond engagement ring and it was speculated that boyfriend/manager, Tim Witherspoon had finally popped the big question.

But during Monday’s taping of Queen Latifah‘s new talk show, the Destiny’s Child singer spilled all the deets to her talk-show-host friend, confirming what we had suspected all along. Now listen to the most unconventional manner Tim proposed!

Kelly shares the story:

It happened on Skype. It actually happened on Skype. He asked me first on Skype. And I was like, ‘we’re so far away from each other!’ I was in like Bulgaria or somewhere.

It was so late. I remember we were both like, just staring at each other. And he asked me. And it was just that simple to say ‘yes.’ I was like, ‘I got my best friend. I have my best friend to ride through life with and… he really is my best friend.

Kelly says she and Tim had been dating for years but kept it “very, very low.” The interview will air in the US tomorrow, Wednesday.
