The 49 year old model-turned-designer was found by her assistant hanging using a scarf of her own design around 10am in her luxury apartment.
Scott was said to be distraught and ‘embarrassed’ over her failing business, as she owed nearly $6million to creditors.
The designer who has dated Jagger since 2001, was found unresponsive and declared her dead at the scene.
The police do not think any foul play was involved though the Medical Examiner has not yet released the formal report.
