A 12-year-old girl and her 13 year old boyfriend whose names cant be revealed for legal reasons, welcomed a healthy daughter on Sunday April 13th 2014. Their baby weighted 7lb (3.17 kg) at birth.
The schoolgirl got pregnant when she was just 11 years old and still at primary school by a boy who was only 12.
The couple, from North London is said to be “totally in love" and had been dating for a year when they found out she was pregnant. They reportedly met over Christmas 2012 in a park, when she was 10 and he was 12.
At 12 years and three months old, the new mother is five months younger than UK's previous youngest mum, Tressa Middleton, who gave birth, who gave birth at the age of 12 years and eight months, in 2006.
The youngsters reportedly have the full support of their own parents as they give their best efforts towards being parents themselves.
Her 27-year-old mother is now one of Britain's youngest grandmothers. The new mum has a 3 year old sister and 9 year old brother and her grandmother who is 56 is now a great grandmother.
In addition to raising their baby daughter together, the new parents intend to get married at some point.
