30 days after his "blockbuster" trial was put on hold so he can get psychiatric evaluation to determine if he was mentally ill when he shot dead his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on 14 February 2013, a psychiatric report has been released.

A panel of mental health experts has concluded that Oscar Pistorius was not suffering from mental illness when he killed Reeva, and can be held criminally responsible.

The mental experts, a psychologist and 3 psychiatrists all agreed that Pistorius, 27 understood the gravity of his act when he shot Steenkamp through a closed toilet door.

The Olympic athlete was sent for psychiatric observation following an expert witness's testimony that he suffered an anxiety disorder.

Pistorius's trial resumed today after one month break and faces a maximum of 25 years in prison if found guilty of premeditated murder
