Beyonce has critics up in arms slamming her attitude in her new single released on March 18. But I think they’re misunderstanding her new anthem. Is she standing up to her childhood bullies?

Could she be talking back to girls who once bullied her when she grew up in her hometown of Houston, Texas?
H town, I’m coming down, coming down. Get it on the ground, I know you were little girls, you grabbed a bee-ing in my world, Don’t forget it, don’t forget it, Respect that, bow down, b*tches.
I know when you were little girls, you dreamed of being in my world.Don’t forget it, don’t forget it, Respect that, Bow down b-tches.
Or its just a simple cockiness lol!
I’m so crowned, bow, bow down b-tches,and I’m bigger than life, my name in the lights, and I’m the number one chick, ain’t need no hype.
Some fans and Keyshia Cole think Beyonce shouldn’t be showing such extreme cockiness and shouldn’t be using this type of language. They feel she should class it up now that she’s a mother and wife. Check out a few of the negative twitter reactions:
Keyshia Cole tweeted:First ‘Women need to stick together’ now b-tches better bow. Smh. But it’s all G!Chicks stay shooting the sh-t. But when I speak my mind its a prob. #Well #StayMad.. I done kept it real from the start! #RespectTHAT
I hope that Bow Down song that Beyonce released was just a buzz single & won’t be on the new album. It’s so beneath her.
‘how can u sing at the presidents inauguration then release this disgusting, offensive song @beyonce? I’m genuinely shocked.’
Beyonce was channeling her inner Rihanna lol…she should stop she is a wife and a mother now lol her experimentation phase/excuse is gone
I don’t like Beyonce’s new song… “Bow down bitchez!”… C’mon B, you’re better than that!
The worst of the criticism is from US blogger, Sandra Rose
Sometimes a person’s chronological age is not a proper indicator of their developmental age. That should always be taken into consideration when dealing with a person who behaves much older or younger than their stated age.
Take Beyonce for instance: chronologically she is 31, but developmentally, she behaves more like a petulant, overindulged child. She constantly lies; she plants stories in the media; she steals other people’s work and credits the work as her own; she lip syncs when she should sing live; she simulates being pregnantwhile allowing someone else to do all the heavy lifting of giving birth.
In other words, she constantly tests limits and boundaries.
The fact that Beyonce posted a picture of herself as a child is no coincidence. Developmentally, Beyonce has not grown beyond the age she was when that picture was taken.
On Sunday Beyonce threw a digital tantrum in the form of a horrendous track titled “Bow Down B*tches” on her personal website. Like most children who throw tantrums, Beyonce is seeking attention from those who adore her.
It doesn’t matter to Beyonce that the track is appallingly bad. What matters most to her is the attention she gains from releasing it.
Before the track ends, she uses a chopped and screwed effect on her voice as she reminisces about wearing dookie braids and being in The Ghetto Boys.

Here’s a version where her voice isn’t chopped and screwed:
